BOVINE HERD HEALTH SERVICES

Cattle make you money (so you hope!) let us help you keep your herd up to par and in shape and help make those tough management decisions.

Bovine Pregnancy Testing (blood test)

Test as soon as 28 days bred! Saving you time and resources on the open cattle. Blood testing is >98% accurate for long and short bred cattle (compared to ~80% via rectal palpation). It's quick and easy on your cattle. A simple blood draw from their tail vein. Less then 15 secs per animal once they are caught in the chute.

Bull Semen Evaluation (BSE)

Your bull is incredibly valuable to your operation. Make sure he's not "shooting blanks" before you send him out on the field.

Following the Society of Theriogenology's evaluations for fertility, your bull will have it's reproductive organs evaluated as well as general health. Top of the line 5th generation Lane Pulsator will be used for a gentle semen collection and evaluation and written copy provided.

Required for any heifers between 4-12 months of age that will be retained or sold for breeding purposes.

Yearly Vaccines for calves, cows and bulls

Castration

We use the "Henderson Tool" on bull calves larger then 200lbs. This tool allows for a completely bloodless castration. No worrying about your bull afterwards. Has been successfully used on bulls >600lbs.
